Democrats Rally for Jobs Plan Support
November 9, 2011
DETROIT, Mich. (My TV20 News at 10) --- Congressional Democrats continue their efforts tonight to gain support for President Obama's Jobs Plan.
Michigan Congressmen John Conyers and Hansen Clarke gathered this morning at Detroit's NextEnergy Offices. They joined supporters urging Congress to pass the jobs bill.
Supporters point out batteries for electric cars will benefit more under the president's plan. House Republicans oppose the measure because it increases taxes.
Senate Democrats have refused to vote on job bills passed in the House.
